Tanya Drake

Junior Class Lead Teacher

Teacher Tanya joined the SPNS community with her third (and youngest) child in 2013 as a working parent. She joined the SPNS staff in January 2016. She brings a playful presence with her mindful listening, genuine curiosity, and natural desire to play and discover together. Tanya is a CA native, born and raised in Sonoma. She has a B.S. in engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Tanya loves to read and energetically engage with children. You can often hear the children calling her “silly Teacher Tanya”. Tanya’s love of working with children extends beyond her day at SPNS and you will often see her out in the Burlingame community coaching youth sports.

Natasha Herro

Junior Class Teacher

Teacher Natasha is an alumni parent of SPNS who has been teaching preschool for 11 years, 9 of which have been at St.Paul’s in the Junior program. She holds a BA in Spanish and Spanish Literature from St. Petersburg State University, Russia. She studied Early Childhood Education at Cañada College in Redwood City. Teacher Natasha is fluent in Ukrainian, Russian and Spanish languages. She strongly believes that every child deserves to be treated with patience, kindness and respect, and met at their developmental level. Her teaching philosophy focuses on empathy and inclusion, and she is a strong advocate for play-based early learning.  It brings her joy to gather community together and celebrate diversity. Her passion for gardening and growing organic produce spearheaded the nutrition program in the Junior class. Teacher Natasha loves traveling, reading, cooking, hiking and spending time with friends and family.

Camille Edison

Junior Class Co-Lead Teacher

Teacher Camille is patient and values each and every child's way of learning; utilizing play based philosophies to grab the interest of the child which engages them in learning new concepts. She believes that connections between teacher, child and families creates a strong foundation for success in learning and is why she loves teaching within the co-op community. The village that a co-op community creates, not only supports families as they navigate the development of their child, but it also creates opportunities to share holidays and culture, enriching each child and their understanding of the world around them. Camille's 9 yrs of experience with lead teaching, 2yrs- through 5yrs, gives her valuable insight on scaffolding programming to prepare children for their next steps; not only within the classroom for each individual but as a class together for the next year. Camille is proud to be the 5th generation of her family living in Burlingame where her children attend the local schools. Camille loves being outside playing, exploring and gardening. When not busy supporting her children's sports and scouting activities, she loves to steal some time for reading- historical fiction being her favorite!

Board of Directors

Parents have an integral role in running the school through the Board of Directors and Key Jobs Chairpersons. The Board of Directors consists of President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and four Members-At-Large. These volunteers are responsible for running the business of the school, setting policy, and maintaining a good working model. They receive membership benefits for their efforts. The School Director is a non-voting member of the Board. Key jobs chairpersons report to the Board as directed by their job description and also receive membership benefits.
